Richard Kosakowski is a highly-experienced, business-oriented attorney who counsels clients of all sizes (individuals, companies from startups to large multinational corporations, academic institutions) in all aspects of Intellectual Property ("IP") law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Rick has over 30 years of experience in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications in a wide range of technology areas listed below, including various traditional and emerging technologies, and technologies involving software-based inventions. Rick also has extensive experience in invention identification; IP portfolio analysis, development, and management; transactional work (e.g., Government licensing – FARS, DFARS, University licensing); patent opinion preparation; patent litigation support; trademark availability analysis and trademark registration procurement.
